The transit of 107 tonnes of goods that were being illegally imported into Kazakhstan from abroad has been blocked. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the import of 88 tonnes of wheat bran from the Chechen Republic to the Turkistan Region and the city of Shymkent was blocked.
"During the inspection, it was found that there were no veterinary accompanying documents or marking, and that the products had not undergone the required thermal treatment," the ministry said.
The transit of 19 tonnes of boneless beef and semi-finished products from the Minsk Region of Belarus to the city of Tashkent was also stopped.
Thus, all products with a total weight of 107 tonnes were returned to their dispatch stations.
In total, since the beginning of the year, 230 violations of the law have been identified at the "Syrym" checkpoint. 230 vehicles were returned, and 100 administrative protocols were drawn up with fines totaling 8.9 million tenge.
