Heavy rains with hail are approaching Kazakhstan, but the south of the country will see the heat intensify to +45°C, Kazhydromet reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to weather forecasters, on July 20 a northwestern cyclone will bring unstable weather to most of Kazakhstan. Heavy rains with thunderstorms, possible hail and squally winds are expected in the west, northwest and north of the country. Fog is expected in places at night and in the morning in these regions.
At the same time, the south and southeast of the republic will remain under the influence of hot and dry weather. Wind strengthening is forecast across the country, and dust storms are possible in the southern regions during the day.
Due to the heat, high and extreme fire danger will persist in most regions.
The most difficult situation is forecast in the Kyzylorda, Turkestan and Zhambyl regions, as well as in certain areas of the Almaty, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Atyrau, Aktobe, Pavlodar, Mangystau regions and the Abai, Ulytau and Zhetisu regions.
Rescuers recommend that residents take precautions: in regions with intense heat, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and do not light fires in nature, and in areas where thunderstorms and squalls are expected, be careful on the roads and, if possible, do not leave cars under trees and weakly secured structures.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that on July 19 almost all of Kazakhstan would be at the mercy of contrasting weather.
