The level of trust among Kazakhstanis in President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has reached 86.7%. Over the year, the indicator grew by three percentage points. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
This follows from a study of key indicators of the socio-political situation for the third quarter of 2026, conducted by the Kazakhstan Institute for Public Development.
At the same time, 65.8% of respondents said they regularly or from time to time receive information about the initiatives of the head of state.
The top three most supported decisions included the transition to a unicameral Kurultai, the declaration of 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, and the use of funds from the "National Fund for Children" project to improve housing conditions and obtain education.
Respondents also showed significant interest in initiatives in the fields of technological development, nuclear energy, education, and science.
The study separately notes interest in initiatives implemented within the "Taza Qazaqstan" project.
The KIPD notes that the results of the third quarter indicate a stable level of trust in state institutions and a predominantly positive assessment of the situation in the country.
The survey was conducted from July 31 to August 16, 2026. It involved 2,400 people over the age of 18, based on a national sample taking into account gender, age, type of settlement, and region of residence. The maximum margin of error is ±2% at a 95% confidence level.
Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that Tokayev, during his participation in the BRICS summit in New Delhi, held a series of brief meetings with heads of state and leaders of international organizations.
