A woman who had been wanted since 2021 was deported from Turkey to Kazakhstan, reports Polisia.kz. The 46-year-old Kazakh citizen, who had been on the run for five years, was detained in Antalya. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The suspect acted with accomplices between 2018 and 2020. By gaining trust, she appropriated funds from over 1,300 citizens of the country totaling more than 6 billion tenge, police said.
On June 26, the wanted woman was deported from the Republic of Turkey to Kazakhstan. Since the beginning of the year, law enforcement officers have detained 117 people suspected of committing fraud. The total material damage caused by them exceeds 17 billion tenge.
