9.4 million people are employed in various sectors of Kazakhstan's economy. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Bureau of National Statistics prepared these data based on a sample survey conducted in Q2 2026.
The largest share of employed people is in the following sectors:
- 01trade – 16.8%;
- 02education – 13.3%;
- 03industry – 12.4%;
- 04agriculture – 10.5%;
- 05transport and warehousing – 7.1%;
- 06construction – 6.8%;
- 07healthcare and social services – 6.6%.
The highest growth was recorded in real estate operations – by 37 thousand people. Also, the number of employed in education increased by 31.1 thousand people, and in healthcare by 21.2 thousand people.
