A wave of sharp discontent is growing on social media over the spread of videos created with artificial intelligence. The authors of the content generate the 'revival' of soldiers killed during exercises on the Caspian Sea, and also recreate the moments of their deaths for views and likes. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The footage provoked a mixed reaction from users. They condemn such publications, calling them immoral and deeply traumatic for the families of the deceased.

Blogger's outrage

Blogger Ali-Asker Baiguzhin posted a video in which he says there should be at least some respect for the parents of the dead soldiers. According to him, things are already hard for them.

"You take and make such videos. There should be some humanity, it's unethical to do this. This is wrong, guys, don't do this. You can't do this, I don't know, maybe you want to boost your reach this way? I don't know, or are you advertising yourselves like this? You shouldn't do this, it's dancing on bones," the man said indignantly.

Director's opinion

A similar opinion was expressed by director Rustem Omarov. As he wrote on social media, someone else's grief is not content.

"I don't think dead soldiers should be 'revived' with the help of AI, forced to speak and turned into videos. This is not content. These are someone's sons, brothers, husbands. It is already very hard for their loved ones. Imandy bolsyn," he says.

Users' reaction

In the comments, people note that creating such content at a moment when loved ones have not yet managed to bury the guys and are experiencing the most severe grief is cruel and inhuman. Many emphasize that the authors use someone else's pain solely in pursuit of reach and likes. Users point to the violation of laws and norms prohibiting the use of images of people without the consent of their loved ones.

Comments also call for reporting the accounts of such authors and blocking them. Commenters note that the parents of the dead soldiers directly asked not to publish AI videos.

Circumstances of the tragedy

On September 24, during the performance of combat training tasks by the naval forces on the Caspian Sea, due to a sudden storm and gusty wind, 17 servicemen were carried into the open sea. As a result of the incident, 14 people died.
