As of July 1, the volume of deposits of individuals and businesses in Kazakhstani banks reached 50.7 trillion tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In June, the deposit base grew by 1.77 trillion tenge — more than twice as strong as a month earlier. The main increase was provided by companies, which brought almost 946 billion tenge to banks. These data follow from the reporting of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
In May, the total volume of deposits increased by 777.5 billion tenge: household funds grew by 725 billion tenge, and business funds by only 52 billion tenge. Thus, in June, the inflow of corporate money accelerated more than 18 times.
Deposits of individuals
Deposits of individuals in June increased by 824.6 billion tenge, or 2.8%, reaching 30.14 trillion tenge. In all ten largest banks, the volume of household money grew.
Individuals brought the most funds to Kaspi Bank — its retail deposits increased by 297.9 billion tenge, or 4.1%, to 7.62 trillion tenge. Halyk Bank attracted 223 billion tenge and retained first place in terms of household money — 8.09 trillion tenge.
The leaders in the growth of individual deposits were:

- 03Bank CenterCredit — by 94.4 billion tenge, or 2.6%, to 3.68 trillion tenge;
- 04Otbasy Bank — by 67.2 billion tenge, or 2%, to 3.42 trillion tenge;
- 05Freedom Bank — by 50.8 billion tenge, or 5.4%, to 994.4 billion tenge.
Outside the top ten largest banks, the outflow of household funds was small. The largest declines in individual deposits were in VTB Bank — by 1.5 billion tenge, Nurbank — by 1.46 billion tenge, and Altyn Bank — by 1.43 billion tenge.
Deposits of legal entities
Companies in June were more active than individuals. The volume of deposits of legal entities increased by 945.7 billion tenge, or 4.8%, exceeding 20.58 trillion tenge.
The main recipients of corporate money were Halyk Bank and Bank CenterCredit. Together they attracted 690.3 billion tenge — almost three-quarters of the total growth in business deposits among the largest banks.
The leaders in the growth of corporate deposits among the ten largest banks were:

- 02Bank CenterCredit — by 314.5 billion tenge, or 11.7%, to 3 trillion tenge;
- 03Freedom Bank — by 52.8 billion tenge, or 7.5%, to 755.4 billion tenge;
- 04ForteBank — by 39.8 billion tenge, or 1.8%, to 2.21 trillion tenge;
- 05Alatau City Bank — by 38.8 billion tenge, or 5%, to 816.5 billion tenge.
Significant inflows also occurred in smaller banks. In KZI Bank, corporate funds grew by 111.9 billion tenge — more than doubled, to 213.6 billion tenge. Citibank Kazakhstan attracted 107.7 billion tenge, increasing corporate deposits to 953.3 billion tenge.
At the same time, four banks from the top ten faced an outflow of corporate money. Bank RBK lost the most — 92.7 billion tenge. In Eurasian Bank, corporate deposits decreased by 51.4 billion tenge, in Kaspi Bank — by 23.6 billion tenge, in Otbasy Bank — by 15.1 billion tenge.
Summary
If we combine deposits of individuals and businesses, the main recipient of funds in June was Halyk Bank. Its deposit base grew by 598.8 billion tenge. Bank CenterCredit attracted 408.9 billion tenge, and Kaspi Bank — 274.3 billion tenge.
These three banks accounted for 1.28 trillion tenge, or more than 72% of the total June growth in deposits in the banking system.
Among the ten largest banks, the total volume of deposits decreased only at Bank RBK — by 87.8 billion tenge — and Eurasian Bank — by 35.3 billion tenge. Overall, the deposit base grew in 15 of 23 banks.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that the volume of deposits of individuals in Kazakhstani banks at the end of the first half of 2026 exceeded 30 trillion tenge for the first time. Against this background, the Kazakhstan Deposit Guarantee Fund (KDGF) increased its special reserve by 10% — to 1.73 trillion tenge.
