The Kazakhstan national team won a bronze medal at the Sitting Volleyball World Championship. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Kazakh athletes in Group C faced teams from Brazil, Croatia and Iraq, finishing second to advance to the playoffs. In the round of 16, they confidently defeated Poland 3:0, and in the quarterfinals they also beat Rwanda 3:0.
In the semifinals, they lost to one of the world's strongest teams – Iran – with a score of 0:3. In a tense match for third place, Kazakhstan defeated Brazil 3:2 to become bronze medalists of the World Championship.
It is worth noting that the Sitting Volleyball World Championship took place from July 10 to 17 in Hangzhou, China. Sixteen national teams participated in the world tournament.
