A Kazakh travel agent sold fake tickets to a BTS concert to fans of the popular k-pop group, deceiving about 100 people worldwide. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Telegram channel SHOT, the travel agent actively offered to buy a trip to the boy band's concert in Busan, which took place on June 12 and 13, through her own social media. For 167 thousand rubles (955.6 thousand tenge), she promised round-trip flights, accommodation in a good hotel, and tickets to the performance itself.
Earlier, the fake travel agent sold trips to concerts of other k-pop stars — the group BLACKPINK — in the same way. Then tourists only upon arrival in Hong Kong learned that hotels were not booked for them, and tickets to the performance and return flights were fake.
According to tourists, on social media the girl promised to sort everything out and return the money, but later simply disappeared. The same happened to those who wanted to return tickets to the BTS concert.
As a result, the total damage from the travel agent's actions was estimated at 3.5 million rubles (19.9 million tenge).
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that BTS refused to submit a new album for the Grammy 2027.
