A citizen of Kazakhstan dropped banknotes worth $10,000 in the Tashkent metro. A caring passenger picked up the money to hand it over to metro staff, and police found the owner. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The press service of the Tashkent Metro reported the incident that occurred the other day. A passenger was walking along the station and dropped banknotes from his bag. Footage shows that a woman with a child soon picked them up and handed them to the metro security service.

The Tashkent Metro expressed gratitude to the woman, who demonstrated honesty, integrity and a high sense of civic responsibility. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan reported that they found the man using CCTV footage and the Face ID system.

It turned out that the money was lost by a citizen of Kazakhstan. He said he had come to the capital of Uzbekistan to buy a car. On the way to the Sergeli car market, the money fell out of the man's bag. The Kazakh man only learned about the loss at the car market.

The man thanked law enforcement officers for their efficiency and assistance in returning the funds.
