At the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2026) held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan's team achieved a 100% result. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

All four members of the national team became prize winners, winning one gold and three silver medals: - Gold medalist: Aizere Zheniskhanova, an 11th-grade student at NIS in Ust-Kamenogorsk; - Silver medalists: Abilmansur Kali, an 11th-grade student at NIS in the Nura district of Astana; Danil Poletaev, an 11th-grade student at Lyceum No. 134 in Almaty; and Ansar Zhaksylykov, an 11th-grade student at Spectrum International School in Astana.

This year's Olympiad brought together over 350 talented students from more than 90 countries. Participants solved complex chemical problems and performed laboratory work in two five-hour stages: theoretical and practical.

Kazakhstan has been participating in this Olympiad since 1998 and consistently achieves high results. This year's success is the result of supporting gifted students, systematic development of the Olympiad movement, and the professional work of teachers, the statement said.

It is worth noting that earlier at the International Physics Olympiad, Kazakhstan's team won five gold medals for the first time in the country's history.
