The national team won 1 gold and 3 silver medals, taking 10th place in the world team standings. This is one of the best results for the Kazakhstan team in the history of the olympiad.
Maxim Tsoi, a 12th-grade student at the international school "Spectrum" in Astana, won a gold medal and took 5th place in the world individual ranking. Thus, he entered the top five young programmers in the world.
Silver medalists: - Aldiyar Seitbay - 11th-grade student of the specialized boarding school "Bilim-Innovation" for gifted children in Astana; - Mansur Mamadakhunov - 11th-grade student of the specialized boarding school "Bilim-Innovation" for gifted children in Kyzylorda region; - Askar Akezhan - 12th-grade student of NIS in Semey with a physics and mathematics focus.
