Kazakhstan plans to approve the procedure for determining the country of origin of goods and issuing the relevant expert opinion. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The draft order of the Ministry of Industry and Construction "On approval of the rules for conducting an examination to determine the country of origin of goods, issuing an expert opinion on the origin of goods and terminating its validity" has been published on the "Open NLA" portal.

The document defines the procedure for conducting an examination to determine the country of origin of goods, issuing and storing expert opinions on the origin of goods, as well as terminating their validity.

The issued expert opinions will serve as the basis for including Kazakh goods in the Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods of the EAEU member states.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Construction, this will expand opportunities for Kazakh producers to participate in state and municipal procurement in EAEU countries.

The draft order will be open for public discussion until August 24, 2026.
