Kazakhstan's women's shooting team became silver medalists in the team skeet event at the 2026 Asian Games. The Kazakh athletes scored 336 points and lost only to the Chinese team. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

About the 2026 Asian Games
The official opening ceremony of the XX Summer Asian Games took place on September 19. The multi-sport event, featuring athletes from 45 countries, will award 460 sets of medals: 217 for men, 204 for women and 39 in mixed categories. Kazakhstan's team at the 2026 Asian Games will include 558 athletes competing in 35 sports.
Early victories
On the first day of the Games, Kazakh athletes won four gold medals. Cyclists Rinata Sultanova and Alexey Lutsenko, as well as karate athletes Zholaman Bigabyl and Sofya Berultseva, became champions of the Games. The fifth gold was added to the team's tally the day before by MMA fighter Yerkingali Burkutalin. The sixth came from his teammate in the mixed martial arts squad, Kadyrbek Shynbayev.
After the third day of the Games, Kazakhstan ranks fourth in the unofficial medal standings.
