For the first time in Kazakhstan's history, a cadet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy, Ali Bauyrzhan, has entered the top-10 of the BoxRec ranking, the Kazakhstan Professional Boxing Federation reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Ali Bauyrzhan, a Master of Sports of Kazakhstan in boxing, two-time national champion and Asian championship medalist, has reached a new milestone in the history of domestic sports.

"He has entered the history of professional boxing in the CIS and became the first and only military cadet to enter the top-10 ranking of the world-famous BoxRec portal," the statement says.

BoxRec is an international statistical database based on a fully independent computer algorithm, which is not influenced by presidents, ministries or individual athletes.

The reliability and fairness of this system are fully recognized by such reputable boxing organizations as WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and the international IBA association.

To pass such a strict and impartial digital selection and be among the world's top ten boxers is an unprecedented achievement of Ali Bauyrzhan and the entire domestic sports and military sphere, the federation says.
