Professional StarCraft II player from Kazakhstan Adlet Satybaldin, known by his nickname Lightweight, has been added to the War and sanctions database of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Satybaldin plays for the team 3D!Clan. The reason for his inclusion in the database was his open support for the Russian military operation. In addition, he is accused of thanking Vladimir Putin for helping Kazakhstan during the mass unrest in January 2022.
Satybaldin himself has not yet commented on the situation.
The War and sanctions section on the GUR portal has the subtitle "We identify targets." It contains data on 254 athletes, coaches, and officials from Russia and other countries. The authors of the resource call for these people to be suspended from competitions and expelled from federations.
The database includes various disciplines. In esports, six athletes (five Russians and one Kazakh) and six officials have been added.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the high level of organization of the "Games of the Future — 2026."
