Today, the women's Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships started in China. In the team all-around, the Kazakhstan team took ninth place. In the individual all-around, the best among our athletes was Amina Khalimarden, who showed the 23rd result. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The Kazakhstan team for the continental championship included Daria Yasinskaya, Evelina Ezhova, Ameli Mukusheva, Radmila Tarasova, and Khalimarden. In total, our team scored 142.061 points, which allowed them to enter the top 10.

The victory was won by the Chinese team (168.498). Silver was taken by Japan (163.496), bronze by gymnasts from Korea (156.563).

In the individual all-around, Khalimarden scored 44.898 points and became 23rd out of 24 gymnasts.

The 2026 Asian champion was Chinese Qin Qin Ke (56.299). Silver was won by her compatriot Qing Ying Zhang (55.666). Bronze was taken by Japanese Misa Nishiyama (54.799).

None of the Kazakh gymnasts managed to directly qualify for the finals on individual apparatus. Ezhova retains small chances to participate in the uneven bars final: she took 18th place with a score of 12.233 and became the second reserve participant for the decisive round.

The women's Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships are held in Zunyi (China) from June 25 to 28. A total of six sets of medals will be awarded.

The men's team of Kazakhstan remained without medals at the continental championship. Our team took fourth place in the team all-around, Dmitry Patanin became eighth in floor exercise, and Dias Toishybek showed the seventh result on the horizontal bar.
