The decisive day of the second stage of the Boxing World Cup started in Guiyang, China. The Kazakhstan team won its first gold medals at the international tournament.
"Nazym Kyzaybay, competing in the weight category up to 54 kg, defeated Italy's Sirine Charaabi in the final. Victoria Grafeyeva (up to 60 kg) beat Olympic champion Yu-Ting Li (Taipei) in the decisive bout," the statement said.
Currently, the Kazakhstan team has two gold and three bronze medals. Earlier, Aida Abikeyeva (up to 65 kg), Valeriya Aksenova (up to 80 kg), and Dina Islambekova (over 80 kg) became bronze medalists.
It is worth noting that today, June 21, Sanzhar Tashkenbay (up to 50 kg), Abylaykhan Zhusipov (up to 70 kg), and Aibek Oralbay (over 90 kg) will also enter the ring in the finals.
