Kazakh peacekeepers have destroyed more than 2,000 explosive items and ammunition on the Golan Heights. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The engineering-sapper group of Kazakhstan's third national contingent, as part of the UN mission to monitor the separation zone on the Golan Heights, is carrying out work to detect, neutralize and destroy explosive items.

Key indicators during the mission
According to the official statement, during the period of the peacekeeping mission, since May of this year, more than 15 operations have been conducted, and servicemen have destroyed more than 350 explosive items.
In addition, more than 1,800 rounds of ammunition were neutralized.
Thus, in total, more than 2,000 explosive items and ammunition were destroyed.
Previous peacekeeping activities
It is worth noting that earlier Kazakh peacekeepers on the Golan Heights provided medical assistance to more than 90 residents.
