Beksultan Boranbek (55 kg) won a confident victory over Korean Wooju Jang. Nurasyl Tolebek (60 kg) and Nurbek Mursal (70 kg) defeated Kyrgyz Amanthur Dzhumaev and Majed Alhaj Issa from Saudi Arabia respectively by split decision (4:1). Aman Konysbek (75 kg) knocked out Japanese Hibiki Kawawata via technical knockout, while Temirlan Mukataev beat Indian Rokea Chaudhary with a score of 4:0.

Nurzat Ongarov (50 kg) and Asylkhan Kosherbay (65 kg) were eliminated from medal contention. Ongarov lost to Japanese Deichi Iwai, and Kosherbay lost to Indian Vansaj.

Earlier, the Kazakh women's U19 team suffered four losses.

The Asian Boxing Championships 2026 in the U19 and U23 categories, under the auspices of World Boxing, are being held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from July 5 to 16, with 329 athletes from 20 countries. A total of 40 sets of medals will be awarded: 20 each for men and women. Kazakhstan is represented by a full team of 40 athletes.
