Kazakh wrestler Zhamila Bakbergenova won silver at the international ranking tournament in women's wrestling in Budapest, Hungary. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing olympic.kz.
The competition in the weight category up to 72 kg was held in a round-robin system. In her first bout, Zhamila defeated Kyrgyz wrestler Kairgul Sharshebaeva, and in the second round she beat Indian wrestler Diksha Malik. However, in the gold medal match she lost to Polish wrestler Wiktoria Chołuj.
Thus, she became the silver medalist. It is worth noting that on July 19, medals in the remaining weight categories in Greco-Roman wrestling will be awarded.
