Kazakhstan operates a unified information system for registering pets – TAÑBA. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The system allows combining in a single database the main information about a pet and its owner, as well as information about vaccination, sterilization, and other veterinary procedures.
Number of registered animals in the TAÑBA system
According to the ministry, about 400 thousand pets are currently registered in the TAÑBA system. The vast majority are dogs and cats: 291,761 dogs and 107,414 cats are registered.
