The construction of Kazakhstan's highest mountain bridge is planned to be completed by the end of 2027. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The bridge is being built in the gorge of the Bolshaya Almatinka River in Almaty Region. Its height will be 160 meters, making it the highest mountain bridge in Kazakhstan. The construction work is carried out by the national company KazAvtoZhol.
The total length of the bridge will be 456 meters, width — 12 meters. It is designed for two-lane traffic. 8.5 billion tenge have been allocated for construction. According to the project, the bridge will be put into operation in December 2027.
During construction, special attention is paid to safety measures. Modern technologies are used to ensure the strength of the bridge. Environmental requirements have also been taken into account.
