The active adoption of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstani companies is already impacting the labor market. Over the next two years, specialists working with AI technologies can expect significant income growth. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
This forecast was made by experts from the international IT company IBA Group. According to their estimates, salaries for employees involved in implementing, configuring, and maintaining AI-based solutions will increase by an average of 20%.
As a result, the income of individual specialists could reach 2 million tenge per month. This applies not only to neural network developers and programmers. Increased demand is also expected for employees who handle the integration of AI systems into business processes, their maintenance, and ongoing support.
"Salaries for IT specialists whose work involves AI implementation and support will grow on average to 2 million tenge. This includes not only developers who create and train neural networks but also those who implement and support AI systems," the experts noted.
Currently, AI technologies are most actively used by companies in the IT sector and telecommunications. The financial market also shows high adoption rates. Kazakhstani banks are already using AI for borrower assessment, customer service, and fraud prevention.
Other advanced industries include insurance, retail, aviation, logistics, and pharmaceuticals. In these sectors, AI specialists are becoming particularly sought after.
However, some industries are lagging behind the overall trend. This primarily concerns large manufacturing enterprises and mining companies, where the introduction of new technologies requires more time and investment.
According to experts, in the coming years, AI assistants will become widespread, used for customer communication, process automation, big data analysis, internal information retrieval, financial auditing, and personnel selection.
One of the main challenges is a shortage of personnel. According to IBA Group, the Kazakhstani labor market is not yet able to train the necessary number of specialists capable of working with artificial intelligence.
Due to the shortage, employers are willing to offer higher salaries and actively poach specialists from competitors. At the same time, many companies are launching retraining programs for their own staff and investing in developing internal competencies.
Experts believe that the spread of AI will hardly affect workers in manual professions in the near future.
"We are still far from a future where robots do everything for us. So physical labor is now in high demand, and its value will only increase," IBA Group is convinced.
At the same time, AI technologies can be used in production to monitor safety and warn employees about potentially dangerous situations.
According to expert forecasts, by 2028, about 80% of large and medium-sized companies in Kazakhstan will use AI-based solutions. Many enterprises are already testing such tools and preparing for their large-scale implementation.
