Kazakhstan's Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has reported three forest fires registered on the territory of the country's state forest fund. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Where the fires were registered

According to the ministry, the fires were recorded in the following regions:

  • 01Karaganda region — 1 fire;
  • 02Semey Ormany State Forest Nature Reserve (GLPR) — 1 fire;
  • 03Ertis Ormany State Forest Nature Reserve (GLPR) — 1 fire.

Response after detection

"After a fire was detected in the forest area, specialists promptly began the necessary work. State forest guard forces and resources are involved in extinguishing the fires, and employees of the Kazavialesookhrana Republican State Enterprise are also taking part in the extinguishing effort. They conduct aerial monitoring of the territory and provide the necessary assistance in ground-based firefighting operations," the ministry said.

Situation under control

The situation on the territory where the fire is occurring is currently under constant control. Measures to localize and fully extinguish the fire are ongoing.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that a natural fire was localized in the Abai region at the Arasan section of the Mynbulak rural district of the Ayagoz district.
