This year, 3,000 military reservists will be involved in planned training exercises, reports Sputnik Kazakhstan citing the official website of the Ministry of Defense. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The training exercises are conducted to improve the level of training of reservists and update practical skills. They will master modern weapons and military equipment.
Selection of participants is carried out by local military authorities in accordance with the needs of the army for specific military specialties. At the same time, the level of training, health status and other requirements established by law are taken into account, the official statement said.
Reservists will receive special summons. After receiving the summons, they must arrive at the designated place within the established time. In case of failure to appear, a fine of 5 MCI (21,625 tenge) is provided.
According to the law, certain categories of citizens are not involved in these activities. They include: - teachers during the academic year; - full-time students; - parents with three or more minor children; - other categories specified in the law on military service and status of military personnel.
The training period lasts up to one month. During this time, participants are provided with food, clothing and medical services. Travel to and from the training site is organized at the expense of the Ministry of Defense, ministry specialists said.
Participants retain their job and position. Average salary is paid, and unemployed citizens receive a minimum wage from budget funds. The training time is counted towards the total length of service.
