Nearly 2,000 twins and over 50 triplets born in Kazakhstan in four months

In Kazakhstan, 1,926 twins and 54 triplets were born in January-April 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the Bureau of National Statistics, no quadruplets were registered during this period. The Turkistan region leads in the number of twins with 263 cases, followed by Almaty city (245) and Almaty region (175).

For triplets, the Turkistan region, Atyrau region, and Shymkent city are ahead, with 3 triplets registered in each region, corresponding to 9 infants born.

The total number of children born in January-April 2026 reached 99,400. The highest birth rate was recorded in the Turkistan region (19.75 per 1,000 population), Shymkent city (19.39), and Mangystau region (19.28).
