In June 2026, inflation in Kazakhstan amounted to 0.8%, the national statistics bureau reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Although seasonal price declines were observed for some food products, services and certain non-food items contributed the most to the monthly price dynamics. Over the month, some vegetables and food products became cheaper.
For example: - sweet peppers – 12.6%; - beets – 7.8%; - eggs – 3.8%; - bananas – 3.3%; - eggplants – 1.7%; - black tea – 1.1%; - wheat groats and apples – 0.8%; - chocolate spread – 0.3%.
Among non-food products, prices for a number of durable goods and medical products decreased. In particular, vacuum cleaners – 7.2%, irons – 5.4%, medical masks – 4.1%, electric kettles – 2.9%, modems and routers – 1.5%, laptops – 1.2%, paracetamol – 0.8%, hand cream – 0.6%.
Among paid services, hot water tariffs decreased by 3.7%, cold water tariffs by 3.2%.
