The Ministry of Agriculture has proposed imposing a temporary restriction on the export of beef from the country. This is stated in the ministry's draft order. According to the document, it is proposed to set a quota for the export of beef to third countries, including EAEU member states, in the amount of 25,000 tons. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The volume is set at 25,000 tons. "The goal is to ensure the raw material base for domestic meat processing enterprises, increase the volume of processing of agricultural products, increase domestic added value, create additional jobs, and sufficiently supply the domestic market with meat products while stabilizing prices," the draft order says. The draft order will be open for public discussion until July 1, 2026.

Previous restrictions were introduced at the end of 2025.
