Kazhydromet forecasters have published an advisory weather forecast for July 2026. According to their data, the second summer month in Kazakhstan will be contrasting: from frost to extreme heat of +46°C. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Overall, in June 2026, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 1-2°C above the climatic norm in most of the country, and near the norm in the west.
Precipitation will also be near the norm almost throughout the republic, but an excess of long-term average values is still expected in the west and northwest.
In the first ten days, unstable weather is expected almost throughout Kazakhstan: short-term rains with thunderstorms, hail, and storm winds. In the northwest, winds will be especially strong, and dust storms are forecast in the south and southwest.
Air temperatures in the first half of July will be consistently high. In the west, southwest, and Aktobe region, daytime temperatures will reach +35°C, and at night they will cool to +6°C.
Temperature fluctuations are also forecast in northern Kazakhstan: from +11°C at night to +33°C during the day. In the south and southeast, nighttime temperatures will drop to +13°C, and daytime temperatures will rise to 40°C. In the east and center of the republic, daytime air will warm up to +39°C, and at night it will drop to +13°C.
In the second and third ten-day periods of the month, cool days will periodically prevail over hot ones. The second half of the month will be just as rainy with thunderstorms, strengthening winds, hail, and dust storms.
The temperature background will also be unstable. In the west, north, center, and east, weather will fluctuate from +8°C at night to very strong heat of +42°C during the day. In the south, the heat will be particularly strong: at night, thermometers will drop to +14°C, during the day they will sharply rise to +40°C, and on some days even to +46°C.
