Butter production in Kazakhstan has significantly increased in the first half of 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to statistical data, 18,500 tons of butter were produced in the country from January to June 2026. This is 12% more compared to the same period last year. The growth is mainly due to increased capacity of large dairy plants and improved raw material base.
According to experts, the increase in butter production was also influenced by rising domestic demand. In addition, active work on export directions positively affected production volumes. In particular, supplies of Kazakh butter to Russia, China, and Central Asian countries increased.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, state support for dairy farms increased by 30% this year. These measures are aimed at improving the quality of dairy products and increasing production efficiency.
The growth of butter production is closely linked to the development of meat and dairy clusters. New dairy plants have been commissioned in several regions of the country, and existing enterprises are being modernized. This, in turn, allows increasing production volumes.
According to economists' forecasts, by the end of the year, butter production could reach 40,000 tons. This figure will be 15% higher compared to last year. However, price stability in the market and changes in raw material costs may affect production dynamics.
The quality of Kazakh butter meets international standards. In recent years, domestic products have received high marks at international exhibitions, contributing to the growth of export potential. Work in this direction continues.
