The Bureau of National Statistics has published salary indicators for employees in Kazakhstan by occupation and position. According to the sample survey, the number of employees in organizations and enterprises stood at 3,378.6 thousand people. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Workforce composition

The share of men among employees was 48.1% (1,626.4 thousand people), while women accounted for 51.9% (1,752.2 thousand people).

Distribution by salary categories

In 2026, the distribution of employees by salary size continued to shift toward higher salary categories:

  • 01the share of employees earning up to 100,000 tenge decreased from 3.3% to 2.3%;
  • 02the share of employees earning between 100,000 and 300,000 tenge decreased from 43.0% to 39.3%;
  • 03the share of employees earning above 300,000 tenge increased from 53.7% to 58.4%.

Positive dynamics in nominal wages were observed across all occupational groups, including workers in manufacturing, transport, agriculture and services, the bureau said.

  • 08security guards – 174.2 thousand tenge.
