The crime rate in Kazakhstan has decreased by 9% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov informed President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that 1,685 crimes committed in previous years were solved during the reporting period. Additionally, 574 criminals who had been evading justice were found, including 89 abroad.

Sadenov provided the president with information on the results of combating cybercrime, drug crime, organized crime, and extremism. Tokayev gave a number of instructions to clearly implement the principle of "Law and Order" to ensure public safety and the legal system in the country.
