In the first half of 2026, the volume of construction works in Kazakhstan reached 4.1 trillion tenge. This is 15.2% higher compared to the same period last year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
By the end of 2025, the volume of works in the construction industry reached 10.7 trillion tenge, increasing by 17.5% over the year.
Impact of the New Construction Code
One of the significant changes in the industry was the introduction of the new Construction Code. The document aims to strengthen the quality and safety of construction. In particular, it provides for extending warranty periods for the operation of facilities, considering seismic risks during design, and introducing digital control mechanisms for construction organizations.
Share of Domestic Production
In the construction materials market, the share of domestic production exceeds 70%. Domestic demand is met by more than 3,000 enterprises.
Investment Projects
In 2026, it is planned to implement 48 investment projects in the production of construction materials with a total value of 202.2 billion tenge. Within the projects, it is planned to create more than 3,500 new jobs.
