Unstable weather will persist in Kazakhstan on October 6. According to Kazhydromet forecasts, rain and snow will fall across most of the country, with heavy precipitation expected in the northeast and southeast. Frost will hit five regions at night. The weather deterioration will be caused by a cyclone and atmospheric fronts. Strong winds and fog are also forecast across the country. Ground blizzard is possible in the north, a dust storm in the south, and ice in the northwest, north and east.

A storm warning has been issued in most regions.

The most difficult weather is expected in Pavlodar, Akmola, North Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions. Rain and snow will fall here, with blizzards and ice in places. In Pavlodar region, heavy precipitation is forecast in the north and east, with winds strengthening to 23-28 m/s during the day. The same wind speed is expected in places in Akmola region.

In North Kazakhstan region, rain and snow, ground blizzard and ice are forecast, with wind gusts reaching 23-28 m/s in the south and east. In Kostanay region, snow will fall at night, with blizzards and ice expected, while precipitation will persist during the day in the north, east and south of the region.

In Karaganda region, rain and snow will fall in the west, north and east, with icy roads. During the day, winds will strengthen to 23-28 m/s in places. In Karaganda, rain and snow and icy roads are also forecast, with wind gusts reaching 25 m/s.

In Astana, rain and snow are expected at times on October 6. Southwesterly winds will strengthen to 15-20 m/s, with gusts at times reaching 23-28 m/s at night and in the morning.

Precipitation in the form of rain and snow is also forecast in Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, Abai, Almaty, Zhambyl regions, Zhetisu and Ulytau regions. In the mountainous areas of Zhetisu, heavy precipitation is expected in places at night. In the area of Alakol lakes, winds will strengthen to 23-28 m/s.

At night, frosts down to 1-2 degrees are expected in Almaty, Zhetisu, Kyzylorda, Turkestan and Zhambyl regions.

In the south of the country, the weather will be contrasting. In Kyzylorda region, a dust storm and winds up to 15-20 m/s are forecast during the day, while at night in the north of the region the temperature will drop to 2 degrees below zero. In Turkestan region and Shymkent, fog is expected at night and in the morning.

In Almaty, in the mountainous zones of Medeu and Bostandyk districts, fog is also forecast at night and in the morning, with wind gusts reaching 15 m/s.

In the west of the country, no significant precipitation is expected, but high or extreme fire danger will persist in Atyrau, Mangystau, West Kazakhstan and a number of other regions.
