President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree "On measures to further improve the system of state administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan." This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the document, the Apparatus of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been established in the country. It received the status of a state body directly subordinate and accountable to the president.
The decree provides for further improvement of the state administration system and defines the new status of the Security Council Apparatus.
Earlier, Tokayev spoke about the sequence in which the new system of power would be formed after the election of the Kurultai. He will submit the candidacies of the Prime Minister and Vice President for consideration by deputies after the structure of the new unicameral parliament is determined. Tokayev also announced the timeline for the creation of a new constitutional body — the Qazaqstan Halyk Kenesi. It will be formed in the second half of September.
And the day before, Tokayev appointed the heads of the National Bank, the National Security Committee, the Supreme Judicial Council, and the Ombudsman.

The Security Council Apparatus is now a state body directly subordinate to the president. This step is aimed at centralizing the decision-making process in the country's security sphere.
