School medicine in Kazakhstan is moving to a digital format, the Ministry of Health reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
As a result, children's health will be monitored with the help of technology. That is, preventive checkups of schoolchildren will be conducted using digital diagnostic equipment, and the results will be recorded in digital medical systems.
One of the key elements of the new model is the digitalization of preventive checkups for schoolchildren. "It is planned to use modern digital diagnostic devices during checkups, and automatically record the results in information systems. This will allow forming more complete information about the child's health status and tracking its changes over time," the statement said.
The ministry noted that if a student is found to have certain risk factors or changes in health indicators, the information can be promptly sent to primary health care specialists for further monitoring, additional examination, or medical assistance.
Thus, school medicine is gradually moving from one-time preventive checkups to systematic digital support of children's health. At the same time, school medicine workers become an important part of this system.
Their work is not limited to conducting medical checkups. It includes disease prevention, sanitary and educational work, formation of a healthy lifestyle culture among children, and interaction with primary health care organizations.
