Kazakhstanis with disabilities can receive sanatorium-resort treatment at the expense of the state. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Procedure for choosing a sanatorium
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, citizens with disabilities can independently choose a sanatorium on the social services portal. The state will fully or partially pay for the voucher.
The right to sanatorium-resort treatment is determined by medical indications and is included in the individual habilitation and rehabilitation program for people with disabilities. After that, the patient can independently choose a sanatorium through the social services portal.
Payment terms
Payment for such treatment is carried out by the state within the guaranteed amount.
"If the cost of the selected service does not exceed the established amount, treatment is provided free of charge. When choosing a more expensive option, the recipient can independently pay the difference in cost," the message says.
Treatment procedures
Depending on medical indications, physiotherapeutic and balneological procedures, therapeutic exercises, and other restorative measures may be provided as part of treatment. Their task is to maintain the achieved rehabilitation results, improve well-being, and help preserve a person's activity.
Statistics
According to the Ministry of Labor, as of August 1 of this year, over 76 thousand people with disabilities received sanatorium-resort treatment. The total declared need for the current year is 147,809 people. The service continues throughout the year as sanatorium groups are organized.
