Kazakhstan will introduce a new requirement for mobile transfers starting November 10. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Under the current rule, if an individual receives money via mobile transfers from 100 or more people within three consecutive calendar months and the total amount of transfers exceeds 12 minimum wages (1,020,000 tenge), transactions on their account are considered transactions with signs of income from entrepreneurial activity. Banks send such data to tax authorities.
From November 10, the monthly calculation index will be used instead of the minimum wage. According to the new requirement, the total amount of money transfers from 100 or more different people within three consecutive calendar months must exceed 360 MCI. In 2026, this equals 1,557,000 tenge.
The corresponding changes were introduced by ministerial order into the criteria for classifying transactions on individuals' bank accounts as transactions with signs of income from entrepreneurial activity. The order states that the new requirement applies if the total amount of money received into an individual's bank account not intended for entrepreneurial activity from 100 or more different people within three consecutive months exceeds 360 MCI.
