Kazakh cardiac surgeons have summarized their work in saving patients with heart and vascular diseases. According to the Ministry of Health, in 2025, more than 32,000 cardiac surgeries were performed in Kazakhstan, with about 6,000 patients receiving high-tech medical care. 91.3 billion tenge was allocated for complex heart and vascular surgeries.
The ministry reminded that all specialized care was provided to Kazakhstanis free of charge under the Guaranteed Volume of Free Medical Care and Compulsory Social Health Insurance packages.
"Today, a wide range of complex interventions for heart and vascular diseases are performed in the country. Modern technologies and equipment of cardiac surgery centers allow providing specialized care to patients both in a planned manner and in acute conditions requiring emergency intervention," the statement said.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that funding for cardiac surgery in Almaty has increased almost fourfold in recent years, doubling the number of free surgeries under compulsory health insurance.
Previously, it became known that in Ust-Kamenogorsk, doctors performed a complex transplant operation on a patient who had suffered cardiac arrest.
