Prices for a number of socially significant food products have decreased in Kazakhstan over the past week. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to official data, cucumbers saw the biggest price drop, falling by 4.6%. Tomatoes and carrots also decreased by 3.2% each, eggs by 0.4%, flour by 0.3%, and chicken meat by 0.2%.

The average price of cucumbers across the republic was 524 tenge per kilogram. The lowest price was recorded in Taraz, where a kilogram costs 357 tenge.

The average price of rice is 534 tenge. The most affordable prices were recorded in Kyzylorda (456 tenge) and Almaty (478 tenge). The cheapest cabbage can be bought in Turkistan for 137 tenge per kilogram.

Additionally, the lowest price for 10 eggs of the first category was recorded in Kyzylorda (464 tenge) and Oral (476 tenge).
