Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov announced the number of foreigners treated in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The number of foreigners coming to Kazakhstan for medical tourism is increasing every year. At a government meeting, the minister said: "Kazakhstan's main advantage is the combination of high quality of services and affordable prices. Last year, Kazakhstan received about 80,000 foreign patients."
To date, 10 medical organizations in Kazakhstan have received international JCI accreditation. "Together with the Ministry of Health, a Roadmap for the development of medical tourism for 2026–2028 is being developed," Myrzabosynov noted.
The government meeting also discussed tourism development. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov instructed to organize additional flights at affordable prices during the summer period.
