In Kazakhstan, 54 new mineral deposits were registered in 2024-2025. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the government, geological exploration work ensured an increase in resources of gold, silver, copper, chromium, iron, and phosphorite, as well as groundwater reserves.

In total, about 10 thousand deposits of various minerals are registered.

Additionally, forecast resources of rare earth metals amounting to 935.4 thousand tons were identified. Studies have been completed at 11 sites. One of the most promising sites is Kuyrektykol in the Karaganda region, where rare earth metals in demand in modern high-tech industries were found.
