According to forecasts by Kazhydromet, on September 5, predominantly dry weather will persist over most of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

In the southeast and west of the country, atmospheric fronts will bring rain and thunderstorms. In mountainous areas of the southeast, rain and sleet are possible at night.

Storm warnings have been issued in most regions of the country.

Wind and Fog

In the west, south, and east of Kazakhstan, winds will strengthen. Dust storms are forecast in southern regions. Fog is expected at night and in the morning in eastern, southeastern, and central regions.

For September 5–7, a storm warning has been issued in Turkistan Region. A dust storm is expected in the west, north, and mountainous and foothill areas. The speed of the northeast wind will be 15–20 m/s, with gusts reaching 23–28 m/s during the day on September 5.

In Shymkent, wind gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are forecast during the day, and in Turkistan — up to 15–20 m/s.

Regional Forecasts

A dust storm is also expected during the day on September 5 in the south and center of Kyzylorda Region. The northeast wind will strengthen to 15–20 m/s.

In the west of Atyrau Region, rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day on September 5, with winds strengthening to 15–18 m/s.

In West Kazakhstan Region, rain and thunderstorms are forecast during the day in the west and north. Wind gusts will reach 15–20 m/s. In Uralsk, rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are also expected.

Rain and thunderstorms will pass in the mountainous areas of Zhambyl Region. Winds will strengthen to 15–20 m/s.

In the mountainous areas of Almaty Region, rain and sleet are possible at night, and light rain and thunderstorms during the day. Fog is expected at times at night. In the mountains of Ile Alatau, including the mountain zones of Medeu and Bostandyk districts of Almaty, light rain and thunderstorms are also forecast during the day.

In Zhetisu Region, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the mountains during the day, with wind gusts up to 15–20 m/s.

Fog and Frost

Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north of East Kazakhstan Region. In mountainous areas, frosts down to 2 degrees are possible at night. Fog is also forecast in Oskemen.

Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north and center of Abai Region, in Semey, and also in the north and east of Karaganda Region.

Fire Danger

Extreme fire danger persists in Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Zhambyl, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Mangystau, Aktobe regions, Ulytau Region, as well as in certain areas of Kostanay, Almaty regions, and Zhetisu Region.

High fire danger is forecast in certain areas of North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Abai, Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay, Almaty regions, and Zhetisu Region.

Earlier, weather forecasters promised that summer heat would return to Kazakhstan on the weekend.
