Kazhydromet has issued a storm warning for most of Kazakhstan. According to weather forecasters, a sharp deterioration in weather is expected: a northwestern cyclone will bring heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds to the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Heavy precipitation is forecast in the west, northwest, north, and central regions of the country. The storm warning covers Astana, Akmola, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Aktobe, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Mangystau regions, as well as Ulytau, Abay, and East Kazakhstan regions.

These regions are expected to experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail in some places, and squalls, with wind speeds reaching 20-28 meters per second. In Astana, heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds up to 20 m/s are forecast.

Thunderstorms will also occur in Almaty, Turkestan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda regions and Zhetysu region. Dust storms are possible in some southern areas.

Alongside the bad weather, abnormal heat will persist in several regions. In Almaty, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan regions, as well as Zhetysu and Abay regions, air temperatures will rise to 35-38°C.

It will be even hotter in the south of Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions, the north of Zhetysu region, the southeast of Karaganda region, and some areas of Abay region, where thermometers may reach 40-41°C.

Due to the heat, high and extreme fire danger persists in most regions of the country. The most difficult situation is expected in Zhetysu, Abay, Ulytau regions, as well as in some areas of Akmola, Karaganda, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Atyrau, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Almaty, and Aktobe regions.
