Kazakhstan plans to increase its deep grain processing capacity to 5.8 million tonnes per year by 2029. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

At a government meeting, Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov said that six major grain processing projects are planned for implementation by 2029. These projects are aimed at producing starch, gluten, bioethanol, amino acids and other products. Their total capacity will allow processing 5.8 million tonnes of raw materials per year.

First results are already in place: this year, the Kazkhrakhmal plant was launched in Turkestan Region, and a project by Fufeng Group was launched in Zhambyl Region.

At the same time, construction of commercial dairy farms and the formation of six full-cycle meat clusters continue. Along with creating new production facilities, comprehensive work is underway to provide them with raw materials, develop infrastructure and reach design capacity.

In livestock farming, 99 projects of commercial dairy farms with a total capacity of more than 600 thousand tonnes per year have been financed. By the end of this year, the launched farms are planned to reach 70% of their design capacity, and next year — full capacity.

Additionally, work is underway to launch six meat clusters, which envisage fattening 130 thousand head of livestock and producing 26 thousand tonnes of meat.
