A new bank may open in Kazakhstan. The leadership of the Agency for Regulation of the Financial Market and the National Bank met with the chairman of China Construction Bank (CCB), Zhang Jinliang. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the state and development prospects of Kazakhstan's banking sector were discussed. According to the official statement, the parties discussed issues of bilateral financial cooperation, including the creation of a subsidiary bank of CCB in Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation between the financial institutions of the two countries and expanding investment interaction.
It is worth noting that China Construction Bank is considered one of the largest banks in the world. The financial institution manages assets worth $6 trillion globally.
