On July 9, six forest fires occurred in the state forest fund of Kazakhstan. All fires were quickly detected and fully extinguished, preventing the spread of flames. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the country's Ministry of Ecology, one fire occurred in the Zhambyl region. Another fire was registered on the territory of the Naurzum State Nature Reserve, Bayanaul State National Nature Park, and the state forest nature reserve "Semey Ormany". Two more fires occurred in the "Ertis Ormany" reserve.

"The fire sources were detected during aerial patrols by the Kazavialesookhrana RSE, using the early forest fire detection system, as well as during ground monitoring conducted by state forest protection employees. Thanks to prompt work, all fires were extinguished in the shortest possible time," the ministry reported.

State forest protection employees, airborne fire service paratroopers, helicopters, and specialized equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires.

The day before, the Ministry of Ecology had already appealed to Kazakh citizens due to the increasing frequency of forest fires. Meanwhile, according to Kazhydromet, Kazakhstan is outpacing the entire world in terms of temperature growth rates. Meteorologists also explained why the country is experiencing unbearable heat.
