Kazakhstan produced 35,100 tonnes of ice cream in January-May 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The largest producing region is Almaty region, accounting for 66.3% of total production. Other major producers include Turkistan region, Almaty city, and Akmola region. The main part of the output consists of creamy ice cream and plombir, making up over 80% of total production.
In January–April of this year, Kazakhstan's ice cream exports amounted to 6,400 tonnes, with a monetary value of $24.8 million. Compared to the same period last year, this represents an increase of 46.4% in physical terms and 77.0% in monetary terms. Export volume exceeded imports by 2,900 tonnes. 99.9% of exports were directed to CIS countries. The main sales market is Russia, which received 4,300 tonnes of products. Exports to Kyrgyzstan increased by 68.4%, and to Uzbekistan by 27.7%.
