The country has allocated 80 billion tenge for a comprehensive plan for the development of livestock farming for 2026-2030. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, these funds are planned to purchase 40,000 head of cattle and 20,000 head of small livestock.
This year alone, 7,234 head of cattle have been delivered to Kazakhstan from far abroad.
Turkestan Region
Since the beginning of the year, 860 head of beef and dairy cattle have been brought to the Turkestan Region.
The "Azia Milk" commercial dairy farm received another batch of 165 head of Holstein cattle from Denmark. Thus, the total number of cattle delivered from Denmark to this farm has reached 330 head.
North Kazakhstan Region
In the North Kazakhstan Region, another batch of 165 Holstein heifers from Germany was delivered to the dairy complex of the "Budennoye SK" partnership. This is the fifth batch delivered to the farm.
Thus, the total livestock population at the enterprise has reached 825 head, according to the ministry. The first animals were delivered at the beginning of the year, and in March the farm received its first offspring.
After the livestock delivery work is fully completed, the farm will be fully stocked with imported pedigree livestock.
Purpose of the Plan
It is noted that the implementation of the adopted measures will allow agricultural producers to gradually renew their livestock, increase animal productivity and expand production.
